Faith Massive aka Joey Davis was tuned in, which inspired me to play a few tracks by him, and I was suddenly in the mood for and playing a lot of older stuff :-)

We still featured some stunning new tracks from Jason Bradberry, and of course Shiloh’s Melburn Remix.  We also tried out some new tracks from Deeflash and DJ Epiphany, so be sure to let me know what you think of those.

I wrapped things up with Doctorin the Tardis by The Timelords.

The Timelords are actually the KLF under a different name, and you can view the history of the song here.

Part of the reason I love the song is because I am a HUGE Doctor Who fan, and the song is riddled with Doctor Who music, samples and phrases.  Doctor Who is a British Science Fiction TV show that’s been running since the 60’s.  He travels through time and space in his Tardis saving people and teaching them good values.  You can find out more about Doctor Who at the official BBC website:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/

The Daleks are one of the Doctor’s main enemies, and are the robots featured in the song and in the picture above.

The P-Sons rocked my world with their debut album Texno Theology (recorded in Scott Blackwell’s backyard!) and they did it again with their Metro One release Return.  Now they are offering up tracks from both albums as FREE downloads!

These are older tracks with a much harder and more Techno driven sound than their current stuff, and are definitely some of what I consider classic Christian Dance tunes that are a piece of history.

Satan is Dead is a parody of the classic James Brown is Dead single by LA Style, and has a cool Breakbeat with full on old school Techno speed.

Power of God is still one of my favorite tracks from that first album as it is riddled with old school samples that say “Blow Your Mind with the Power of God” over fast paced Techno beats.

Believe has a killer Bass line that would kill in a car with big woofers, and has an authentic old school Techno sound along with the samples “You’ve got to believe in something?  Why not believe in me?  God of Abraham!”

Definitely check these out to get a taste of musical history, and especially if you are a fan of old school Techno.

The Secret Archives guys are offering up another free download to the masses, and this time the selection is a funky Electro Dubstep track called Air Gnawa.

Originally I imagined this was similar to an air guitar, but with a middle eastern instrument! 

While I found that idea humorous, a quick google search educated me to the fact that Gnawa is a style of music and not a specific instrument.

This track has a nice throbbing bassline with some solid percussion, and great vocal samples lifted from a radio interview with DJ U-Cef.

The sample proclaims “Electro Gnawa” as the bass throbs and the percussion hits, along with some unique middle eastern instrumentation that is part of Secret Archives signature style.

Dave Richards has recently released two Tribal flavoured Tech House tracks on PWM Records.

Rhythmic drones on with a real Minimal Tech feel until about halfway through the track when the breakdown kicks in and things get more energetic.

Vibrations has heavy Tribal percussion, some really nice Techno riffs, and a dark undertone that makes it feel pretty agressive.  It has an echoing and sweeping filter that is used sparingly, but really gives it a nice building sensation like things are going to blow up soon. 

The intensity grows as more sounds start to creep into the mix, and at this point things start to  take off with a really nice vibe!

Some of you may remember Mike & Mia from a few years back.

They often remixed tunes, and also made original tracks that were good Breaks styled stuff. 

They’ve since moved on from making music and focused their efforts in other areas, but Electronic Dance Music is like the mafia…once you’re in, you don’t get out!

Jason Bradberry and I have been friends on Tastyfresh for a number of years, and when he updated his MySpace with new music earlier this year I was instantly impressed with the quality of it.

I never realized he made music, or that it was this good!  It came as no surprise that a label snapped up the tracks, but it is worth mentioning that the label is Silk Digital.

Silk Digital is owned by Max Flyantikov, Michael Alexeev, Anton Vorobiev & Alex Golovanov (aka Mango).  It’s pretty impressive to have them like your track, and distribute it!

Autumn is a dreamy Progressive Trance tune with a classy orchestral vibe, and pleasing vocals from Emily Haughton.  It’s gorgeous art with a really rich and smooth atmosphere that captures you with it’s grace.

The Invisible Sounds Remix has a Housier vibe but retains the elegance of the original while infusing it with more drive.  Finally Mango remixes it using the altar ego Shoreliners.  The Shoreliners Remix is pure bliss, taking all the elements of the original and stretching them even farther with their own special touch.
